Perceptions of Blogs

Blogs are , at least to me, a place for diary entries, opinions, just personal insights. I know that some people use them to post articles pertaining to their careers or items that ┬ápertain to their interests such as recipes. It’s an individual activity that others are encouraged to comment on or about.

How could they be used in a learning/training context? Blogs can also be used to relay training information. For example, if I have a certain aspect of a training that is particularly confusing I will post something about it here.

What do you see as the potential advantages/disadvantages of a blog?

Privacy can be a problem, but the blog can be set using certain privacy levels if you don’t want interactive or feedback.
