Perceptions of Blogs

Blogs are , at least to me, a place for diary entries, opinions, just personal insights. I know that some people use them to post articles pertaining to their careers or items that  pertain to their interests such as recipes. It’s an individual activity that others are encouraged to comment on or about.

How could they be used in a learning/training context? Blogs can also be used to relay training information. For example, if I have a certain aspect of a training that is particularly confusing I will post something about it here.

What do you see as the potential advantages/disadvantages of a blog?

Privacy can be a problem, but the blog can be set using certain privacy levels if you don’t want interactive or feedback.
